The JV Indians rebound well to take a 50-28 win at Mt. Morris Thursday night. Playing good pressure defense and dominating the boards (with a team total of 44) were key factors in the win. We came out in the third quarter with a 27-17 lead and shut down Mt. Morris' scoring compared to our 14 points in the 3rd, which helped us gain a commanding lead in the game. Conner Qualls was the leading scorer with 12 points; he also had a team-high 6 deflections. Gavin Birchmeier and Josh Lange led the team with 12 rebounds each, and Zach Garno had 5 steals to top the team in that statistic. It was good to have this win especially after Wednesday's tough overtime loss.
