Chesaning JV Boys lose a defensive battle to Ovid Elsie 33-42 Monday at home. We played a good team with a lot of effort, but couldn't get our shots to fall, making only 11 out of 42 shots from the 2-point range (26%) and hitting only 2 for 10 from the free throw line. It was an off night for us in shooting, but hopefully, we will do better next Thursday when we travel to Ovid-Elsie for a re-match. Chaz Slankard and Dylan James led the team with 10 points each. Gavin Birchmeier was top rebounder with 10, Conner Qualls had a team-high 5 assists, and Keighan Stoddard had 6 deflections.
