The Chesaning Varsity Girls tennis team defeated Alma 5-3 on Thursday, 4/28. All singles players won their matches by deciding margins (Lilly Skaryd, Andee Hosner, Tarah Moyer, and Kylie Morse). Number 1 Doubles (Avery Butcher and Kennedy McAlpine) won a challenging match. Numbers 2 (Alexia Mugute and Alex Stevensen),3 (Alyssa Crane and Jordyn Rosencrans), and 4 (Maya Burtch and Marianna Escamilla) doubles lost tonights matches.
Their record at this time is 4-1-1. Ithaca is their next opponent, Friday 4/29. Next week there are two home matches against Leslie and Essexville/Garber.
