The Chesaning Indians Junior Varsity Softball team closed out their season in dramatic fashion, securing a thrilling 16-14 victory!
Trailing 14-7 heading into the bottom of the 6th inning, the team mounted an incredible two-out rally, scoring 8 unanswered runs to complete the comeback. With the game tied 14-14, Brianna Pierce stepped up and delivered the game-winning blow, a clutch two-run double to walk it off in style.
The offense came alive when it mattered most, and the momentum never let up. What a way to finish the season!

Ellie Kenny started the game on the mound pitching 1 ⅓ innings facing 11 batters and striking out 3. Malayla Sumbrea made an apperance on the mound pithcing a soild 2 ⅔ innings for the Indians facing 16 batters and striking out 2. Elisse Losey came in for relief pitching 2 innings facing 9 batters and striking out 3. I am proud of how they stepped in when they needed to and gave me some soild innings of pitching!
This was an incredible way to end the season! I couldn’t be prouder of how the girls performed tonight! They brought amazing energy into the second game and gave it everything they had. It’s been a great season, and I’m so happy to see them finish it with a hard-fought, well-deserved victory!
The Indians finished the season 14-4 and finished 4-2 in MMAC play.
