Quackenbush, Maier Break Chesaning School Records

Congratulations to Senior Brenden Quackenbish and Junior Levi Maier as they both set new school records in Track & Field. Quackenbush has been close to the Shot Put record held by Joe Greenfelder (1987) in his last two meets. Today at MITCA Team States he was able to break through with a powerful throw of 54' .25". Maier was looking for the right meet and the right competition to set him up for a chance to beat Trevor Denton's 800 school record (2010). Maier set a new personal best by almost by almost 4 full seconds, establishing a new school record of 1:54.99. Both Quackenbush and Maier will look to improve on these performances as they compete in the MHSAA D3 State Finals on June 4th at Kent City High School.
