Chesaning 8th Grade Volleyball vs. Montrose

In their last competition for the 2021 season, Chesaning’s 8th Grade volleyball team traveled to Montrose Wednesday night and came up short in all three sets with scores of 18-25, 20-25, &  the nail-biter 26-28. 

Scorers for the Lady Indians were Makenzie Rose with 4 ace serves for a total of 5 points.  Also scoring 5 points was Savannah Crofoot, 3 of them being aces. Also with 5 points was Gwen Maike with 2 aces.

Following these ladies with three points each was Elizabeth Walton and all her points were aces. Annabelle Peters had 2 aces and Haley Garno had one.

Scoring two points last night was both A’Driana Harrison and Addison Ostrander and they each had one ace serve.  

To round out the scoring for the night was Karizma McIver-Helias, Savanna Conklin, Brezlyn Struck, Nicole Neumann, and Olivia Feliciano with one ace serve a piece and Carley Rasmussen with one point.

Chesaning 8th Grade Volleyball Splits with Lakeville Monday Night

In their last home competition for the 2021 season, Chesaning’s 8th Grade volleyball team hosted Lakeville Monday night and split their matches.

 In the first match against the Falcons, the “Orange” team came out with the win with scores of 25-20, 10-25, & 25-12. Leading scorer for the entire night was Gwen Maike with 11 points (9 ace serves) and one kill. Trailing close behind was Annabelle Peters with 9 points, seven of them aces. Rounding out the scoring for the match was Nicole Neumann, Brezlyn Struck, and Savanna Conklin with 3 points, one ace, each.  In addition, Struck had one assist and Conklin had one kill.

In the second match of the night, the “Black” team lost all three sets in a very tight contest with scores of 18-25, 17-25, & 10-25. Addison Ostrander led all scorers with 8 points.  Both Haley Garno and Olivia Feliciano had 2 ace serves with a total of 4 points each. Makenzie Rose scored 2 points and both Savannah Crofoot and Carley Rasmussen scored one ace each for the Lady Indians.

Chesaning’s 8th Grade volleyball team traveled to Byron Wednesday night and came out with two losses.

In the first match of the night, the “Black” team won their first set, but lost the next two with scores of 25-23, 14-25, & 11-25. Mackenzie Rose led all serving with 4 aces and 5 total points and one assist. Both Olivia Feliciano and Carley Rasmussen had three ace serves with 5 total points each. Carley also had one kill.  Haley Garno had 4 ace serves, Addison Ostrander scored 3 points with two of them being aces and one kill, Mahala Nowosielski scored with an ace, and Anita Rodriguez also had 1 point for the Lady Indians

 In the second match against a very unevenly-split Eagles team, the “Orange” team struggled with scores of 13-25, 6-25, & 4-25.Leading scorer for this group was Nicole Neumann with 3 points. Following behind her was Savanna Conklin with one ace serve with 2 total points and one kill. Elizabeth Walton scored one ace serve and both Gwen Maike and Brezlyn Struck scored one point apiece.

Chesaning’s 8th Grade volleyball team traveled to Durand Monday night and came out with two losses.

In the first match of the night, the “Orange” team lost with scores of 17-25, 18-25, & 13-25.  Leading scorer for this group was Gwen Maike with 10 points, six being aces. Following behind her was Savanna Conklin with 4 points, three were aces and one kill. Nicole Neumann scored 3 ace serves, had one assist, and one kill.  A’Driana Harrison also scored three points with two of them being aces. Isabel Krupp earned 2 ace serves, had one assist, and one kill and both Lizzie Walton and Brezlyn Struck had one ace serve each. Annabelle Peters had one assist for the night and Whitney Welden had one kill.

In the second match against a very hard-serving Railroader team, the “Black” team struggled with scores of 9-25, 11-25, & 8-25. Olivia Feliciano led this group with 3 points, two were aces. Carley Rasmussen had 2 ace serves and  Savannah Crofoot also had two points.  Scoring one ace serve each for the Lady Indians were Addison Ostrander, Mackenzie Rose, and Haley Garno. Anita Rodriguez also had one point to round out the scoring.

Chesaning’s 8th Grade volleyball team hosted Ovid-Elsie Wednesday night and came out with two losses.

In the first match of the night, the “Black” team lost with scores of 23-25, 15-25, & 23-25.  Leading scorer for this group was Anita Rodriguez with 8 points, one being an ace. Following behind her was Addison Ostrander with 6 points, also one ace. Haley Garno scored 3 ace serves plus one more earned point and Carley Rasmussen also earned 4 points, one ace. Olivia Feliciano scored 3 points, Savannah Crofoot had 2, with one being an ace and Makenzie Rose rounded out the night with one ace serve.  

In the second match against a very unevenly split Marauder team, the “Orange” team struggled with scores of 6-25, 13-25, & 3-25. Gwen Maike led this group with 3 points and one assist. Isabel Krupp scored 2 points, and both Savanna Conklin and Annabelle Peters had one ace serve each. Brezlyn Struck scored one point and also had one kill for the Lady Indians.

Chesaning’s 8th Grade volleyball team traveled to New Lothrop Monday night and came out with one win out of the three sets with scores of 18-25, 25-21, & 11-25. 

Leading scorer for the Indians in the first set of the night was Haley Garno with five points, 4 of them being ace serves. Isabel Krupp scored 3 points with one ace, Whitney Welden had one ace serve and Olivia Feliciano had one point.  Elizabeth Walton had one kill while Haley Garno had one assist.

In the second set, Brezlyn Struck led the group in points with 4 ace serves plus one more point. Gwen Maike scored 4 points with half of them being ace serves. Mackenzie Rose earned three points, A’Driana Harrison scored 2 points, one ace, and Lorena Quintana had one ace serve.  A’Driana Harrison had one kill and Makenzie Rose earned the assist.

In the final set of the night, Addison Ostrander earned two points with one ace. She also had one kill with Nicole Neumann picking up the assist.

Chesaning 8th Grade Volleyball Loses to Mt. Morris

Chesaning’s 8th Grade volleyball team hosted Mt. Morris Tuesday night and came out with two losses with scores of 6-25, 8-25, and 15-25 in the first match and 16-25, 13-25, & 20-25 in the second.  

Scoring for the “Orange” team in the first match of the night was Addison Ostrander with two points, one ace, Annabelle Peters, Gwen Maike, and Sannana Conklin all scored 2 points each and Brezlyn Struck scored one point. 

Lead scorer for the “Black” team in the second match was Haley Garno with 9 ace serves. Olivia Feliciano earned 3 ace serves for 5 points and Addison Ostrander had 5 points with two of her serves being aces.  Carley Rasmussen scored 4 points with one ace.  Savannah Crofoot rounded out the night with one point.

Chesaning 8th Grade Volleyball Takes One Set from Montrose

Chesaning’s 8th Grade volleyball team hosted the Montrose Rams Monday night and played three very aggressive sets; coming out with a win in the last one with scores of 24-26, 19-25, and 25-23.  Once again, the team was split into three groups with each group playing only one set as Montrose didn’t have enough players for two teams.

Lead scorer for the Indians was Carley Rasmussen with 4 ace serves for a total of 7 points. Gwen Maike earned 4 ace serves for 5 points and Savannah Crofoot had 4 points with all of her serves being aces.  Also with 4 points each were Olivia Feliciano with 3 aces and Anita Rodriguez with 2.  Savanna Conklin scored three times, all with ace serves. Sharing 2 points with one ace serve between them were Brezlyn Struck, Lorena Quintana, and Annabelle Peters. Haley Garno had one ace serve and A’Driana Harrison scored one point to round out the Indians’ scorers.

Chesaning’s 8th Grade volleyball team traveled to Lakeville Wednesday night and played three very aggressive sets, losing all three with scores of 21-25, 22-25, and 16-25.  Usually split into two teams, last night the team was split into three groups with each group playing only one set as Lakeville doesn’t have enough players for two teams.

Lead scorers for the Indians were both Olivia Feliciano and Haley Garno with 7 points, 4 ace serves each.  Following close behind them was Gwen Maike with 5 points, 4 ace serves, and Savanna Conklin with 5 points, one ace. Anita Rodriguez and Carley Rasmussen with 2 points each, half of them were aces. Finally, to round out the night with one ace serve each was Savannah Crofoot, Elizabeth Walton, Brezlyn Struck, Annabelle Peters, A’Driana Harrison, and Lorena Quintana.

Chesaning’s “Orange” team lost three very close sets Monday night to Mt. Morris with scores of 15-25, 17-25, and 25-27. Scorers for the night were Gwen Maike with 6 ace serves, Savanna Conklin and Nicole Neumann with 5 points each, Brezlyn Struck with 4 points, Lorena Quintana with 3 points, and Annabelle Peters with one point.

 

Chesaning’s “Black” team had a tougher time with Mt. Morris; losing all three sets with scores of 5-25, 12-25, and 11-25. Scorers for this group were Haley Garno with 6 points, Savannah Crofoot and Makenzie Rose with 2 points each, and both Addison Ostrander and Carley Rasmussen with one point apiece.

Chesaning’s “Black” team lost to Durand with scores of 25-23, 23-25, and 13-25. Scorers for the match were Haley Garno with 6 ace serves for a total of 8 points. Also scoring 8 points was Makenzie Rose with half of her points as ace serves.  Anita Rodriguez also had 4 ace serves with 6 points. Savannah Crofoot scored 5 points, having 3 ace serves, both Olivia Feliciano and Carley Rasmussen had 3 points and 2 ace serves each, and Addison Ostrander rounded out the night with 2 points; one ace. 

 

Chesaning’s “Orange” team also lost to Durand with scores of 10-25, 8-25, and 4-25.  Scores for the match were Gwen Maike with one ace serve and both Savanna Conklin and A’Driana Harrison with one point apiece.
