In last night's action against Ovid-Elsie, Chesaning's 8th grade volleyball team lost both matches in tight competition.  In the first match, the Orange team lost 2 of 3 sets with scores of 16-25, 18-25, & 25-16. Leading scorer for the Lady Indians was Keyra James with 5 points. Following close behind her with 4 points each was Kaydence Haney and Malayla Sumbera and with 3 points was Alonna Schack. Rounding out the serving was Marissa Ball with 2 ace serves and Brooke Springer with 2 points and Bella James & Bea Oberson with one ace serve each.  Noriah Ortega added a point for her team with one kill on the net.

In the second match, the Black team also lost 2 of the 3 sets with scores of 25-21, 15-25, & 16-25.  Ruby Gross, Leigha Schneider, & Juliana Rodriguez all had 5 points apiece while Lexie Fisher and Chloe Tithof each scored 3, and Emylia Kukulis and Ellie Kenny finished the night with 2 points apiece. Gross, Rodriguez, & Schneider added points on the board with one kill each and Rodriguez completed the match with an assist.
