In their last contest of the winter season, the Chesaning 8th grade volleyball team traveled to Webberville to play four sets against one Spartan team. In the first two sets, the "Orange" team lost 11-25 & 15-25. Malayla Sumbera led her team with 6 points. Kaydence Haney scored 4 and Hope Boyd, Marissa Ball, & Riley Sedlar each earned one.
In the next two sets, the "Black" team lost 10-25 and 23-25 in a hard-fought set. Carrigan Warner was the leading scorer with 4 points. Kaylin Dempsey earned 3, while Emylia Kukulis and Julianna Rodriguez each scored 2. Rounding out the servers were Ellie Kenny, Izzy Therrien, & Leigha Schneider with one point each. Dempsey, Schneider, & Ruby Gross each had one kill on the net with Schneider & Rodriguez earning an assist.
