The Chesaning Union Schools Athletic Department sends its most sincere gratitude and appreciation to Varsity Girls Basketball coach Steve Keck as he has informed Athletic Director, Jason Hemgesberg that the 2022-23 Girls Basketball season was his last as head coach at Chesaning.

We (the athletic department) cannot thank Steve enough for the dedication and commitment that he has made to Chesaning Athletics over the past 11 years.  Coach Keck has coached at multiple levels over the past 11 years and helped to make sure the girls basketball program continued its commitment to excellence.  Not only was Steve an instrumental part of the basketball program but he also volunteered in many other ways, most notably as the treasurer for the Chesaning Sports Boosters.

The athletic department would like to thank Steve Keck for all he has done for the Athletic programs and wish him the best in his future endeavors!

There will be a meeting for all high school girls planning to play basketball this season at 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 3rd in the Student Center (Cafeteria) in the High School.  If you plan on playing basketball this season at the JV or Varsity level please plan to attend!

We regret to inform the youth camp 3rd and 4th grade girls that their mini game scheduled for halftime of the  Chesaning Indians Varsity girls game on 2/17/23 has been canceled due to the weather and bad roads. 

This game will not be rescheduled.

All the camp players are invited to come to the Varsity girls game on Tuesday 2/21/23 at 530pm and receive free admission to the game by wearing their camp t-shirt.  One parent is granted free admission as well.

Friday, February 17th at halftime of the Chesaning Indians Girls Varsity game, the 3rd and 4th grade girls basketball camp players will get their chance to play a mini game showing their parents what they learned in camp! 

Players are asked to wear their camp t-shirts and meet with their coaches by the girls varsity locker room doors before halftime.

Reminder all youth camp attendees (wearing their camp shirt) and one parent will have free admission into the game! 

All players should wear their camp t-shirts and cheer on the Lady Indians as they host the Ovid-Elsie Marauders.  Game time is 530pm with the 3rd/4th grade girls playing around 6-615pm.
