Win: 7 - 2
Chesaning traveled to Hemlock High School to face off against the Laingsburg Wolfpack in a MHSAA Regional Semi-Final contest on Wednesday, June 7. Chesaning earned the 7-2 victory to advance to the Regional Championship game on Saturday, June 10 at Cornerstone University at 10:00 AM. This will be Chesaning's first Regional Final appearance since 1975. The Indians will also be attempting to win their first Baseball Regional Championship in school history.
Chesaning broke through first by scoring a run in the bottom of the 3rd inning. With 2 outs in the inning, Lucas Powell earned a walk and then Brady Sager followed with a single to give the Indians runners at 1st and 2nd. Nash Wendling then drove in Powell with a double to give Chesaning a 1-0 lead. Chesaning then went back on the attack in the bottom of the 4th inning. Adam Woodcock led the inning off with a single and Lucas Rumisek made his way to 1st base after being hit by a pitch. Eli Escamilla then laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt to move the Indian baserunners to 2nd and 3rd base. Woodcock then scored on a wild pitch and Rumisek also scored on another wild pitch to give the Indians a 3-0 lead after 4 innings.
In the top of the 5th inning Laingsburg broke through and put a couple runs on the board. The lead off batter was hit by a pitch and then their next batter followed with a double to cut the Chesaning lead to 3-1. The next Wolfpack batter reached on an error and made the score 3-2 Chesaning with 1 out and a runner on 2nd base. Logan Fulk then struck out Laingsburg's next two batters to keep the score 3-2. Chesaning quickly responded in the bottom of the 5th inning. Sager and Wendling led the inning off, each hitting a single. After a strikeout, Woodcock walked to load the bases for Chesaning. Rumisek then drove in Sager and Wendling with a single to left field to once again give the Indians a 3-run lead at 5-2.

Laingsburg led the 7th inning off with a single hit to center field. Blain Butcher then made the defensive play of the game for Chesaning. The Laingsburg hitter hit a hard line drive to left field that looked like a sure single, however Butcher got a great jump on the ball and caught the ball just above his ankles and fired a strike to first base to turn the double play. The final out of the game was a ground ball to Woodcock to give the Indians the 7-2 victory.
Logan Fulk added to his great senior year by throwing a complete game 5 hitter while improving his record to 7-1 on the season.
