It is with great pride that I announce some awards that were given to a few of the Varsity softball players and Team!

First off, All Conference Awards-These awards are selected by the league coaches and represent the best players in the conference.

1st Team All Conference: Hailey Rolfe & Ava Devereaux

2nd Team All Conference: Kylie Florian

Honorable Mention: Hannah Cooper & Ellie DuRussel

Next, All District Awards.  The All District Team is selected from the players that participated in this past weekends district tournament and are selected by the district coaches as the best players at their positions.

1st Outfielder: Hailey Rolfe

Third Base: Kylie Florian

Shortstop: Ava Devereaux

Second Base: Hannah Cooper

Utility Player: Ellie DuRussel

These and the rest of the district team now move on to the Regional Selection Meeting where they will go up against the District players from the other districts in our region to select the All Region Team!  Good luck at the next level!

Also, for the 10th year in a row that I have been coaching here at Chesaning, our amazing student athletes have been recognized as a Academic All State Team and in addition Allison Oakes has been awarded Academic All State!  Great job Alison and the rest of the team on this honor.

In addition to the Academic All State award, the 2021 Varsity Softball Team has also earned NFCA Team All American Scholar Athlete Award!  Also the following athletes have been selected as NFCA Scholar All Americans: Allsion Oakes, Ava Devereaux, Abagail VanHaaren, Alyssa Crane, Bryn Mahoney, Hailey Rolfe, Hannah Cooper, Hannah Oakes and Kylie Florian.

Congratulations to you all on these great accomplishments!  I am beyond proud of you all!

Just a reminder that there is a softball meeting for all student athletes who plan on playing softball in the spring tomorrow, December 1st right after school in the Student Center (cafeteria).  If you are unable to attend, please contact coach Poyer at rolijoto@msn.com for any info that you may have missed.  The meeting should be quick and all winter sports athletes should be able to make practices on time.

Attention High School Softball players. There will be a short meeting tomorrow, Friday Jan 29 right after school in the hitting room. If you are unable to attend but plan on playing please let one of your teammates know. Any questions please contact Coach Poyer.
